All festivities will be held at The Waverly Club on Friday, December 6th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Be sure to review the details below so your family doesn’t miss out on all the fun!
*Dominion Valley Residents Only* This festival is a private community event for Dominion Valley Residents and their families only. Our venue is located within our gated community with no public access.
**Solicitation of any kind, inclusive of religious, political, or business purposes, is not permitted at our community's private events without prior authorization from the DVOA Board of Directors and DVOA Events Committee.**
Safety Notice – No Pets, No Running
Due to the sensitive nature of the horses, pets, especially dogs, are not permitted at this event.
All residents: please avoid crossing in front of the carriages for your safety, the safety of the riders, and the safety of the horses.
Volunteers Needed

There is a special “front of the line” incentive for adult residents who volunteer on the day of the event. All volunteers are to check in at the Events Committee table.
Pool & Fitness Early Closure
Corresponding with the Dominion Valley Winter Festival, the Waverly Club amenities will be closing early on Friday, December 6th. The indoor pool and community rooms will close at 12:00 PM and the fitness room will close at 4:00 PM. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing our Dominion Valley families at the Winter Festival.
Allens Mill Boulevard Closed for Carriage Ride Route
Attention Residents Residing on Fog Mountain Circle, Allens Mill Boulevard, and Glass Mountain Way:
Friday, December 6th between 4PM and 9PM:
• Portions of Allens Mill Boulevard and Fog Mountain Circle will be blocked off for the safety of event participants and horses/carriage rides
• Please use Londons Bridge Road or Gossoms Store Court when entering or exiting these streets
• Please avoid any street parking along Allens Mill Boulevard between Vandenburg Street and Fog Mountain Circle
Event Parking & Traffic
The entire parking lot of the Waverly Club will be closed for the event. Event parking will be along the streets (one side only) behind Allens Mill South Gate, avoiding the Regency Reserve section.
Please be courteous to your neighbors and avoid blocking driveways, intersections, and ingress/egress areas. Residents who live close to The Waverly Club are encouraged to walk to the event, if possible, and carpooling is strongly encouraged as well.
Parking in the Regency Reserve area (Palmers Ridge Court and 15100/15200 blocks of Fog Mountain Circle) is strictly prohibited, and Regency reserves the right to tow vehicles on their private streets.
Carriage Rides and Mandatory Equine Waiver
The horse drawn carriage/wagon rides will be provided on a first come, first served basis, and last call will be at 8:00 PM. Please be sure to arrive early if you would like to enjoy this portion of the event.
All carriage ride participants must sign the "Equine Participation Acknowledgment and Waiver of Liability" form, which will be provided at the event. Anyone under the age of 18 years must have a parent/guardian signature. Waivers are also available in advance at the Waverly Club office.
Treats
Gather around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and make s'mores, while munching on cookies. S’more kits and cookies are free for our residents to enjoy, and please note the courtesy limit of one serving per person on all treats.
This year, hot and cold beverages will be available for purchase by a beverage truck vendor.
Santa’s Coming… Bring Your Wish List and Your Camera
Santa will be at the event for picture opportunities! Kids: bring your Christmas list to hand-deliver to Santa! Don't forget to bring your camera. One of Santa's helpers will be available to use the family's cell phone to snap a picture and pass out candy canes.
Big Screen Movie – A Christmas Carol
Rated PG, starring Jim Carrey as Ebenezer Scrooge, directed by Robert Zemeckis, 2009 film.
Seating for the movie will be "hay bale style" - or bring your lawn chairs and cozy blankets...
Other Festivities
We will also have traditional Christmas carolers dressed in costume.
Take-home crafts and candy canes will be distributed while supplies last.
Reminder of Outdoor Activities - Dress for Colder Weather
As all of the activities are outdoors, please be sure to check the weather forecast on the day of the event and dress your family accordingly.

Residents attending the event may be photographed by Events Committee members, resident volunteers, and staff. Any pictures taken are added to our event photo galleries and may be posted on the official Dominion Valley Owners Association social media sites as well as printed in the Valley Voice.
