School is out for MLK Day! Join us at LabSpace for a relaxed morning of hands-on building and creativity.We’ve designed a flexible environment where students can move between stations at their own pace. Whether your builder loves structural engineering or artistic design, we have a new challenge ready for them!
🔧 THE DAY'S ACTIVITIES 🔧
🚠 Zip Line Racers We are stringing up "cables" across the lab! Use simple materials to engineer a carrier that can zip a ping-pong ball passenger safely to the bottom. Can you design one that is fast and stable?
🌉 Lego Bridge Challenge Can you cross the river? We have set up gaps of different widths—from a small creek to the wider "Missouri River." The goal is to build a bridge strong enough to hold our heavy weights without touching the water.
🏗️ 3D Paper Architecture Art meets engineering! Using colorful paper strips, we will fold, twist, and loop our way to creating amazing standing 3D sculptures.
AGES & ADMISSION
Drop-Off Admission ($20): For ages 7 and up.
Stay & Play Admission ($10): For ages 5–6 (or older students who prefer a parent nearby). A parent/guardian must remain in the lab.

Because we start at 10:00 AM, the main mall doors may not be open yet.
PARK: Please park on the Hy-Vee side of the mall (between the car wash and Ross).
ENTER: Come to the mall entrance nearest to WiiPro.
LOCKED OUT? If the door is locked, just call us at (573) 645-0800. Our staff will run down and let you in immediately!
Students are welcome to bring a water bottle and a dry snack.
