Kick-off the New Year with a new hobby – birdwatching! Spend an afternoon in High Park learning the basics of winter birding, including how to use binoculars, the step-by-step process for identifying new-to-you birds, popular tools, and resources, and how to birdwatch ethically to minimize impacts on the environment.
The Winter Birding Workshop is intended for adults. For family-friendly events during Winter Break, check out Frost Fairies of High Park or Step Into the New Year: Tracking in High Park.
NOTE: Pre-registration is required for all our events, hikes and workshops. We do this to ensure we don’t exceed our capacity for indoor events or the maximum limits for group sizes on High Park’s ecologically sensitive trails. Please register on our website before coming to High Park.
