In autumn, fire concentrates at the hearth: a chosen center, intentional and tended. But as the wheel turns, that flame begins to wane. Winter arrives not with outward force, but with quiet, still power. Cold settles in, days contract, and energy retreats into the deepest roots.
Winter is marked by the full descent of yin. No longer gathering at the hearth, energy withdraws entirely into the unsee; the seed beneath the soil, the quiet pulse of life beneath frozen ground. Think potential, not absence. Dormancy is its own form of presence: the deep well where rest, replenishment, and new visions gestate.
In this workshop, we’ll orient ourselves to winter’s wisdom and set the conditions to be left alone. Expect to turn inward through restorative and yin yoga, move slowly and mindfully to build gentle heat, practice breathwork for nourishment, and be guided into reflection inspired by the water element. Expect practices that cultivate quiet strength, conserve energy, and support you in resting in the fertile unknown.
You’ll leave feeling replenished, rooted, and ready to embrace winter’s stillness.
