About Jeff: Jeff is an avid outdoor enthusiast & naturalist who’s been enjoying the natural world for 50 years. He’s a member of the Friends of the Fells, The Trustees, Mass Audubon, Sudbury Valley Trustees, Acton Conservation Trust, Arlington Land Trust, Essex Greenbelt, Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions and The Massachusetts Archaeological Society, Inc. He and his wife, Carol Andrulli, have been hiking in the Fells for over 30 years & frequently participate in numerous hiking/nature programs.

About the hike: Please join Jeff for a Late Fall Plant ID Nature walk into Virginia Wood. We’ll focus on a selection of native species with a few non-native and learn some basic introductory techniques. The pace will be slow/moderate with stops for identification & discussion. This walk is ideal for those who’ve not attended a Plant ID walk before. It’s recommended to wear sturdy shoes, a hat, and long pants. Recommend wearing sturdy hiking boots / trail shoes and bringing/wearing, if needed, a warm hat, gloves, scarf - if we have some snow pack then please wear micro-spikes.

Please be mindful that ticks are still active. You may want to bring a water bottle along with a hiking pole (if needed). Bringing a water bottle is also recommended.
