WDCVS on behalf of the Transitions Project, are excited to announce that we are currently organising, together with TTVS a Community Wellbeing event in Winkleigh. This will take the form of an information fair at the Winkleigh Community Centre on Tuesday, March 4th, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Local groups and services will have the opportunity to set up stalls to showcase their services and engage with the public. Anyone attending will have the opportunity to learn about local community groups and services. We aim for these events to inspire people to try something new, make connections, and even form new friendships. By bringing community groups and services together, we strengthen local networks and create opportunities for people to connect within their communities.
We will compile a directory of local services, both in hard copy and online, which will be available for attendees to take home. It will include information on services for families, young and older people, covering areas such as health, safety, energy, learning, arts, benefits and money advice, local plans, housing, conservation, befriending, getting involved, and much more!
Who Are We?
The Transitions Project is a collaboration between Wisermoney charities (Navigate CIC and Encompass Southwest) and West Devon CVS, funded by the National Lottery Community Partnership Fund. For the past 6 years, WDCVS on behalf Transitions Project, have been facilitating Community Wellbeing events across the rural areas of Torridge and West Devon.
Through the Project, we offer free, confidential debt and money advice, along with budgeting courses, and host community events to help build more resilient communities. Our mission is to reduce social isolation and improve financial wellbeing, particularly for individuals who are often disconnected from mainstream services, serving rural areas across West Devon and Torridge.
