About this Event
Wining While Black (@winingwhileblack) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Bryan Pointer (@_justblp) a doctoral student, advisor and instructor at the University of Maryland, College Park. WWB is dedicated to bridging the gap between African Americans and the industry. As a storytelling organization, we aim to empower others to discover their life purpose and amplify their truths.
To accomplish our mission, we connect our communities over a glass of wine with the goal of sharing life experiences and sharing stories that has motivated us to find our purpose. WWB is continuing to build spaces to empower, educate, and engage African Americans in the wine industry.
We invite you to join us as we host this event with George Ivan and the L'Atelier Yaffe family. Driven by the belief that art has the power to transform perspectives and ignite social change, L’Atelier Yaffe is where meaningful conversations and connections within our community take place.
We're also excited to collaborate with Chosen Family Wines (@chosenfamilywines) founded by NBA Champion, Channing Frye. Chosen Family Wines is on a mission to connect people from all walks of life through their collective passion for amazing wines, community, and life.

There will be bites available for purchase during the evening, along with a variety of Chosen Family Wines available for purchase by the glass or bottle.
