WINGSPAN GALA
The young women of the 30 Birds Community are thrilled to invite you to join them in celebrating the first year of WINGSPAN, a Leadership Program for Afghan women and girls. Today, as the situation inside Afghanistan becomes more dire, it is all the more important to ensure that those who have found new homes here in Candada can become the leaders they were destined to be.
The WINGSPAN Gala will bring together 140 inspiring Afghan women and girls from across Canada to share their voices, celebrate their successes, and plan for their futures. We invite you to come enjoy a vibrant evening filled with unique cultural experiences, music, delicious food, and the chance to meet these extraordinary young women.
Let’s welcome the coming winter with joy, solidarity, and warmth- Come in your brightest gala colours to eat, dance, connect, and be inspired!
*Please note, this will be an alcohol-free event, but delicious mocktails will abound!
