About this Event
Southwest Florida is a popular birding hotspot and many birds favor CREW as a place to call home. We will look for birds in various habitats and discuss the types of birds, their adaptations, and what makes them unique. We will also learn different ways to identify birds. Birding will help kids gain skills in observation, reasoning, and concentration. No birding experience is needed. This kids’ Strolling Science Seminar will include approximately 1 mile of hiking and several hands-on birding activities. On this trail, we may see hawks, wading birds, vultures, songbirds, and woodpeckers!
All experience levels are welcome! Please bring binoculars. We will supply kids with binoculars to borrow if you do not have any.
