Wing it Wednesday is a stand-up Open Mic that welcomes both pros and newbies to try their newest material.

Where? You can find us at MAVIS (Westzeedijk 68a, 3016 AG Rotterdam).

When? Wednesday November 1st!

Doors open: 19.00. We will be starting at 19.30 sharp!

LaughPlug Comedy is a grassroots initiative born through open-air shows at Het Park during the past summer. We aspire to grow the comedy scene in Rotterdam, whilst making it more offbeat and accessible!

? In this show we allow the comics to experiment,to test out their new jokes, or to polish tried and tested material.

Every lineup includes comedians of every possible experience level, so expect to see total beginners performing alongside seasoned pros!

❓What is LaughPlug?

? LaughPlug Comedy is an initiative of local comedians, organising different types of stand-up shows (pro shows, open mics, comedy specials and more!) in various locations in Rotterdam.

❓Who’s behind LaughPlug?

? Rotterdam-based comedian, critically unaclaimed artist and alleged local legend Christos Sougk (@csougk) founded LaughPlug in 2022 and has been the main host and showrunner ever since.

Fellow local comedian Sarath Gopinath (@sarathnotsarah) is a regular performer, former co-showrunner and acts as reoccurring host together with Nigel Ver (funniest person in Spijkenisse).

❓About LaughPlug and Mavis

? Mavis was Laughplug’s first ever venue, having hosted our initial event there in August 2022.

We have since organised more than 30 comedy shows in the venue, with the objective of provide a safe platform for the local comedy scene.

During the course of the past year, the stand-up community in Rotterdam has grown exponentially, and we believe that our contribution has played a significant role in that!
