Wines of the World: Burgundy & Beyond
September 2–23 | 4-week Series | $100
Explore the foundations of wine tasting and French wine styles in this focused 4-week series. Guided by the expert staff of Lake Michigan College’s Wine and Viticulture Technology Program, you'll build your sensory vocabulary, learn how to evaluate wine, and explore two of the world’s most celebrated grape varieties: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Each session features guided tastings comparing benchmark French wines with New World expressions—including examples from southwest Michigan.
Session Schedule:
- September 2: Introduction to Tasting and Sensory Analysis
- September 9: Elements of Wine Style
- September 16: White Burgundy and Chardonnay
- September 23: Pinot Noir and Spätburgunder
This one-time $100 course fee covers all four class meetings. Wines are included in the tasting each week!
