We will learn the wines from Portugal go well beyond Mateus. We will taste and learn about wines made from grapes widely used in Portugal such as Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Tinta Roriz, and Castelao. Many Portuguese wines are blends and we will experience some of the best blends most people never heard of. We will end the tasting with Tawny Port. We will experience the differences between these unique wines paired with various cheeses. Five wines tasted: A Verdelho white blend, A Touriga Nacional blend (red), a Castelao blend (red), a Syrah, Cab, and Touriga Nacional blend (red), and a Tawny Port (dessert wine).Tuesday, November 4
