Hello neighbors and fans of The New York Butcher Shoppe.
We have a wonderful event planned again this month. We invite you to join us on Sunday, August 17th at 6:30 pm at our Woodruff Road Shoppe for our intimate wine tasting dinner.
This month, we will be featuring great juice from Cult Winemaker Dave Phinney. Dave was awarded Winemaker of the Year by Wine Enthusiast in 2019, graced the cover of Wine Spectator in June 2022, and has made over a hundred 90+ point wines throughout his winemaking career. No longer a Prisoner, his innovative approach, which includes provocative and avant-garde wine labels, bold vineyard practices, and distinctive tasting experiences, continually challenges industry norms. Orin Swift wines are beloved for their aromatic complexity and full-bodied character, making them collectible not only for their quality but also for their unique labels, which reflect Phinney’s appreciation for fine art. In addition to tasting Orin Swift Cellars, we will also be tasting wines from his south of France winery, Department 66, and his collaboration with Mark Williams and Gina Gallo for Mount Peak Wineries.
Our Woodruff Road team is working on a four-course tasting-size portioned chef-prepared menu that is being selected to pair perfectly with the night’s wines: Orin Swift Mannequin Chardonnay, L’Usine Pinot Noir, Department 66 ‘D66’ Grenache, Orin Swift Papillon Red Wine, and Orin Swift 8 Years in the Desert Zinfandel!
Tickets are $200.00 for a couple / $110.00 for a single!
Each purchase of a “couples’ ticket” will receive a bottle of Orin Swift Mannequin and Orin Swift Papillon (a combined retail value of $138 from the wineries) …. Each “single ticket” will receive the Orin Swift Mannequin.
Additionally, we will offer special flights that will feature two other Orin Swift Cellars wines and two wines from Mount Peak Winery for $30.00. If you Pre-Order more than $300.00 from any of the featured wines, the price of the flight will be fully complimentary.
All featured wines will be available for special pricing purchases if locked down that night. Delivery will be made by the end of the week, 8/22/2025, so you can enjoy them before the summer comes to an end with Labor Day.
