About this Event
Why is the Piedmont so revered? Why did chemical viticulure explode in the 1950s? Why is orange wine so prevalent in the Republic of Georgia?
Lauren will answer these questions and more in this one-hour class focused on how the Roman Empire, the World Wars, and the Iron Curtain still shape the wine world today. We'll discuss the foundations of ancient viticulture in Europe, the industrial wine revolution, winemaking under communism, and more. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of the ways in which all aspects of humanity show up in the glass.
This class is hosted at Wild Child.
