Join Certified Sommelier Joshua Voytek from Rootstock wine company on an exploration of the wines of the Italian region of Piedmont.
Located in the northwest corner of Italy, bordering the the French and Swiss Alps, Piedmont is home to some of the greatest Italian wines, specifically red wines made from the grape Nebbiolo, in the premiere regions of Barolo and Barbaresco. In addition, other red grapes such as Dolcetto and Barbera, particuarly those around the towns of Alba and Asti are quite well-regarded for their quality and approachability. In terms of dry whites, the wines made from the Cortese grape in the region of Gavi are quite delicious as well.
Join us as we will be tasting some excellent examples of both whites and reds from Piedmont in a fun and interactive atmosphere, paired with cheeses from Luna, and learn why this region boasts some of the best wines of Italy.
Special pricing for the featured wines will be offered by our next door neighbor & retail partner, Bernie's Wines and Liquors on the night of the event only. There is also a 10% retail cheese discount if you want to go home with a little something for later.
Seating begins at 5:15 pm with the presentation starting at 5:30pm sharp.
