Join our fantastic wine journey across Italy and tickle your taste buds with the country’s wonderful indigenous varietals.
Italy is one of the world’s most diverse and exciting wine producing countries. Blessed with many different climates and soils, over 300 indigenous grape varieties thrive across the land. Outside the famous appellations within Tuscany and Veneto, Italy has an abundance of lesser-known wines and DOCs well worth discovering. Joyful wines such as Verdicchio dei Castelli, Aglianico, also known as the ‘Nebbiolo of the South’ and Alto Adige’s Pinot Noir have become very popular in the UK.
The lunch will take place in our charming garden rooms at Petersham Nurseries. Tariq Khan, our Private Sales Manager and ex Sommelier at The Fat Duck will take you on a journey to discover Italy’s fantastic wines. Each will be carefully paired with a delightful menu crafted by our executive chef.
