Wine Before Breakfast (WBB) combines the 7am Friday morning Eucharist with alternative readings from poetry, reflections and other sources with musical offerings that match the theme of the day. Focus is on the world around us, concentrating on issues of social justice, community and living out the truth of the Gospel message.S. Antonio Maria Zaccaria (b. 1502 – d. 1539CE)
Born into a noble family in Cremona, Italy he was well-educated before electing to study for the priesthood. A particularly strong devotion to the writings of S. Paul of Tarsus and his missionary work drove him into an early grave but he left behind several foundations dedicated to reviving the religious life of the laity and caring for the poor.
Antontio Zaccaria was deeply devoted to S. Paul, though for modern Christians is S. Paul more of a hindrance than a help?
After the Eucharist please join us for a nourishing breakfast with convivial company & conversation at Harvest café (across the road from the Cathedral). No-one is turned away for lack of funds. Please come & share your light and life.
