Grace Powell joins us to talk about her and her family’s personal journey from the Caribbean to Basingstoke.Despite living in various towns and cities across the UK, Grace is proud to call Basingstoke her home. She was instrumental in establishing the United Caribbean Association and Basingstoke’s Caribbean Community and Friends. She has been a spokesperson for the Community, most noticeably in her role as a chair, vice chair and trustee of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s Equality and Diversity Forum.
This event will be taking place in the Sainsbury Gallery. Tickets are £3 per person. The café will be open if anyone would like to purchase refreshments.
