Window Glazing Workshop Presented by Thoughtful Craftsmen a Milwaukee-based firm specializing in the restoration of historic structures.
Back by request this immersive four-hour workshop introduces homeowners DIY enthusiasts and preservation advocates to the art and care of historic wooden windows. Have a snack while learning wooden window terminology anatomy and maintenance requirements before taking to the shop. There everyone will have the opportunity to practice glazing techniques on their own personal (mini) window.
Participants will leave with a foundational understanding of window preservation and the confidence to evaluate and approach their own glazing projects. In addition to their mini window attendees will receive an Abatron kit glazing and glazier’s knife as well as John Leeke’s Save America's Windows.
No experience is required; please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you’re comfortable working in. Gloves eye protection and aprons will be provided. Space is limited (8 seats; 18 or older). Call 414-963-1901 to register by Tuesday September 9th.
