A 3-day workshop for Coastal Wind and Trees will be held at the Belle Baruch Institute of Coastal Ecology and Forest Science located in Georgetown, South Carolina on February 10-13, 2025. The Baruch Institute is located in Georgetown, South Carolina.(https://www.clemson.edu/cafls/baruch/index.html )
Topics covered will include:
(1) the application of LIDAR in coastal forests and mangroves (Jeff Cannon and Chuck Price),
(2) tree pulling studies (Toby Jackson and Skip Van Bloem),
(3) communicating climate change and management responses for coastal forests (Steve McNulty and Puskar Khanal).
The program is a mix of talks and hands on examples. A field trip to Santee Experimental Forest ( https://research.fs.usda.gov/srs ) on February 13th is optional.
