Wincham Hall Hotel is set within the countryside of Cheshire. Beautiful and peaceful during the day, forbidding by dark!!
HISTORY
Wincham Hall was mentioned in the doomsday book in 1087 under the ownership of Dot a “free man”.
The hall was soon passed to the hands of Gilbert De Venables following the Norman conquest.
During the next 1000 years the ownership of the hall moved in and out of the Venables family through inheritance and marriage.
The hall was rebuilt at the end of the 19th century unfortunately a small part of the hall was destroyed in the Second World War. Over the year since but hall has been rebuilt and is now used as a wedding venue,
HAUNTINGS
Wincham Hall is reported to be haunted by the spirits of children whose infectious laughter can be heard throughout the corridors before mysteriously disappearing through the walls.
Shadow figures have been seen, could this be the Cavalier that’s been reported to haunt the hall?
