Hi Everyone,We all know the phrase, "Each one, teach one." Well how about, "Each one, FEED one!" The Wimmens (& Men) invite you to come out and help serve meals to the houseless in Detroit. The NSO office does a great job assisting those in need, but they can only do so much.
Our goal is to feed at least 50 people. We'd love to feed more. We're looking to hand out sandwiches, chips, fruit cups/snacks and drinks. We'd love to have additional snacks, as well as socks and gloves. We'd love to do more and are open to your suggestions. We'll be packing the brown bags that morning and will meet around 3:00pm to set up. This is not a big production. We're not doing this for publicity. We're doing it because there is need in this city that is near and dear to us all.
#WimmensGiveBack Being houseless to many = being invisible. We don't know their stories. Many of us are one bad financial decision away from this being our lives. They are not invisible. A human touch needs to be brought back. Eye contact. Kind words. Human. Someone's baby at one time. A sister. A brother. A mother. A father. Human. ❤️✌🏾️🌍
