Kick off the festive season with the magical Christmas Lights Switch-on! 🎄The celebration begins at 1pm. Throughout the day, enjoy entertainment from local schools and choirs on the stage in the square, spreading festive melodies and cheer. In the High Street car park, you'll find a charming Christmas Market filled with unique gifts, delicious treats and holiday cheer.
As the evening approaches, gather with family and friends and join the countdown to witness the grand moment at 4:30pm when the town is illuminated with thousands of twinkling lights. At 5pm, the Militia will be firing on Minster Green, but don't worry if you don't enjoy loud guns! From 5pm, a live band - the Breakfast Club, will be performing at the market in the High Street Car Park, setting the perfect festive mood.
Many shops will remain open until 7pm for some late-night holiday shopping, so there really is lots to enjoy!
