From Donor to Discovery: The Body Farm RevealedTuesday, November 18 | 6:00 PM
Wimberley Community Center
14068 Ranch Road 12, Wimberley, TX
FREE & open to all
Step behind the fence of Texas State’s world-famous Forensic Anthropology Center—better known as the “Body Farm”—with Chris McMillan, the graduate student who greets every donor and turns their gift into answers.
In this rare public talk, Chris will show how bodies quietly teach us what happens after death: how they decompose under Texas sun, rain, and soil, and how those lessons arm detectives, disaster teams, and courts with unbreakable evidence.
“Every donor is a teacher,” Chris says. “We don’t study death—we study what comes next, so the living can find justice.”
Expect clear slides, real stories, and zero gore—just the thrill of science that solves crimes and saves lives. You might even leave wondering how to become a teacher forever.
Doors open 5:45 PM.
Bring curiosity; leave inspired. No tickets needed—see you there!
