This 4-hour workshop with Ignite Sadhana is focused on the breath, nervous system, and how individuals can work with their breath to reset their stress response. It will open with a kundalini kryia (class) then the two instructors will provide an overview of the 3 pillars of the Wim Hof Method (WHM), the science and studies that support it; as well as the biography and background of the method’s founder, Wim Hof.The workshop begins with a full kundalini kryia (class) followed by an explanation of the theory, science, and pillars of the Wim Hof Method. Participants are then led through multiple rounds of WHM breathwork, which taps into the deep, autonomic regions of the brain.
Optional cold exposure concludes the workshop, with each participant being given the opportunity to enter an ice bath for 2-5 minutes. After slowly submerging up to their necks, participants take control of their stress response via maintaining even breath and focus until a calm mind is achieved.
Upon completing the ice bath, participants use movement and focused attention to naturally warm their bodies up and ignite once dormant human capabilities that are within each of us!
Bios:
Jason and Peter are certified level II Wim Hof method and 220hr kundalini instructors who have trained directly under Wim Hof and have led over 500 workshops. They have assisted Wim in excursions in both Poland and Spain, as well as leading their own retreats in Ireland, Iceland, Maine and Pennsylvania. In addition to the Wim Hof Method, they are both 420 Hour RYTs in Vinyasa & Kundalini.
