Our Light Up A Life appeal is an opportunity to remember and celebrate the lives of those who are no longer with us. This Christmas, we invite you to dedicate a light on our trees to honour your loved ones memory. Your loved ones light symbolises the enduring light of the their memory in our heart. Your dedications can be made to anyone, whether or not either of you have a connection to the hospice.
We are pleased to announce that this year’s Light Up A Life Service will be held at the Hospice on Saturday 14th December at 3.30pm.
We have invited the Birchall and Sergeant family to officially switch on the lights. Judith Sergeant was a patient at the hospice before she sadly passed away in December 2023. As a way of celebrating her love for Christmas, Judith's family will be turning on the Christmas lights.
On the evening, people will be invited to gather from 3.30pm to purchase memory stars to hang on the tree and enjoy some refreshments. Around 3.50pm, we will invite you to gather around the tree.
Our service will commence at 4pm and will include readings, Christmas music, choirs and time for reflection.
The books of honour will be on display to view at the service.
