9pm SHELLS BELLS
940pm MIKEY MARGET
Mikey Marget is a versatile cellist whose focus is on progressive folk, improvisational, and traditional music from around the world. This year, their first solo project of original folk tunes with cello, voice, and tenor guitar is due to be released. Their music is dynamic—it moves between gentle, traditional sounds and shreddy fiddle tunes.
1020pm WILLOW WATERS
As the ripples on the surface of the river mingle and transform the lines and reflections of our world, so Willow Waters’ music shapeshifts and defies categorization. Dancing lithely between rock and roll, country, old folk, and jazz; bolstered by rich, intricate, and often surprising arrangements and instrumentation, her music exhibits exhaustive precision and delightful variety.
11pm MAXIMIANO JANAIRO
Maximiano’s music is almost never about just one emotion, moment, or person. It is about the way that experience flows and how music can express this growth and change. Riding waves of indie folk orchestration, Maximiano’s passionate voice conveys heartbreak, love, and vulnerability. Their lyrical style, heavily informed by their training as a writer and poet, combines evocative images and confessional lines to fit the balance of each song. The result is a flowing, expressive sound that guides you on an emotional journey through changing dynamics, the weaving of melody and countermelody, and a devotion to the truth of emotion: that it is ever-changing.
