About this Event
Willow Switch is a dark folk music duo embodying the crossroads of tradition and subversion. The band consists of saw-player and guitarist Andra Zlatescu and banjo player Robin Henry. Together they call upon the spirits of the land to create ambient haunting harmonies and sing open the doorways to other realms.
They're joined by Myles Bullen a rainbow coloured grief rapper, folk punk princess poet of darkness and glitter. Songs about burying friends, doing drugs, getting sober, existing exuberantly, having a crush on death and feeling all the feelings.
And finally on the bill is Windsor's The Tipsy Two consisting of band members Ashley O'Neill (vocals, guitar) and Nolan Smith (upright slapback bass and vocals). Both are decendents of a long line of cattle auctioneers, hog farmers, circus tightrope walkers and test pilots. Together, they weave their family traditions into songs that sound like a brawl on a sawduust and peanut shell covered wood tavern floor between a jug band and a group of bluegrass vagrants on the outskirts of a paper mill town.
