Willow leaf baskets with the Coddiwomplers

Join the Coddiwomplers for a fun and relaxed willow weaving workshop. Guided by two experienced basket makers, you’ll learn traditional willow weaving skills and techniques while creating a beautiful and practical piece for your home.

In this workshop, you’ll make a shallow, asymmetric basket inspired by the shape of a willow leaf. This is a gentle and enjoyable project, with a calm, rhythmic weave that invites focus and mindfulness. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a range of willow varieties, allowing you to explore the different natural colours and properties of willow and to create a basket that is truly your own.

This course is ideal for beginners, so no prior experience is required. However, some manual dexterity and hand strength is needed for weaving.

All tools and materials will be provided, as well as teas, coffees, and Mr F’s legendary jokes.
