This will be either a decent size willow shopper or a medium log basket.
Methods and traditional techniques will include an underfoot tied slath base, English randing and a Somerset handle. You will also learn how to grow, harvest and prepare your willow ready for weaving. Suitable for beginners and those with willow weaving experience.
Based in Devon, for over a decade designer - maker Sarah Le Breton has been teaching and organising her Willow Day Workshops throughout South West England. With her extensive experience, Sarah wants to enable you to discover this wonderful craft form and create your own beautiful basket.
Details: 9.15 arrival for 9.30am start - 5.30pm finish (approximately). Maximum of 6 participants per day. All materials, tools and refreshments provided. Sarah has teamed up with the nearby amazing Lost Kitchen restaurant (www.lostkitchen.co.uk) who have created a special lunch menu for you of mezze salad, freshly baked Focaccia, homemade cake and a Luscombe drink. Lunch payable on the day by card or cash. Venue - Chevithorne Village Hall, Devon, EX16 7PU (15 minutes from M5, junction 27)
