We're back for the third night of the newly reformed club and after the huge success of the first two nights, we're all really looking forward to another magical night of impromptu music, socialising, and connecting with fellow musicians.
Doors will open at 7pm and at 7:30pm we'll create a circle of chairs in the middle of room for the acoustic session. This is an informal jam / workshop where we'll go through some simple songs together. We take the time before each song to make sure everyone is familiar with the chords and the rhythm before playing through together. We'll have a mic for anyone that would like to take the lead vocal and everyone is welcome to sing and play along on any instrument they wish.
After a short break, we'll dim the house lights and move to the stage. This part of the evening is for anyone that would like to play onstage in more of a gig setting. We'll try to give each act at least 10/15 mins, depending on the amount of acts we have wanting to play. Solo artists, duos, trios, bands etc are all welcome to put themselves forward for a short slot and if you would like to perform with other musicians on stage we can help facilitate this and connect you with other musicians.
We'll close the night by creating a Jam Band where a variety of musicians will get onstage together and play through songs familiar to the group, sharing solos, vocals etc in a truly collaborating and spontaneous end to the evening.
Also, if you're intending to come and perform onstage for the second half of the evening please let us know so we can gauge numbers and running order in advance if at all possible.
Musicians of all styles and abilities and those that just like to listen, are all very welcome. Hopefully see you there!
