About this Event
Willie Pettus is a Berkeley singer/songwriter with a story to tell weaving life, love, nature and social issues into songs. His stories and melodies are uplifting and provocative, grappling with topics from love relationships to the spiritual power of song and everything in between. Willie plays acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin and cello.
This event celebrates the recent release on CD and streaming services of , his brand-new album of twelve original songs. Backing Willie are experienced musicians and friends Julie Greer (vocals, percussion), who fronted LA band Volcano Virgin, and Albin Renauer (bass, guitar), formerly of the popular local band Fools Creek. Willie is also joined by members of the venerable Americana string band Don't Look Back: Brian Bloom, veteran player with the Zoe Fitzgerald Carter Band and Rolling Thunder Dylan Band (guitars, mandolin) and John Roy Zat, a wonderful singer/songwriter from Santa Rosa (fiddle, guitar). Look for other local surprise guest artists to join Willie and the band as well!
