Every last Saturday of the month, prepare to dive into the fascinating world of jazz that will allow you to experience the pleasant sensations of life which is hosted by Jackson Room in Queens, New York.

We are excited to announce that the Willie Martinez Quartet will be performing Saturday, January 25th at 7:30pm EST.

Willie Martinez has been a familiar face in New York City’s eclectic music scene for well over twenty years. As well as being one of the most sought after drummers on the Latin Jazz scene today, Willie is also a gifted arranger, composer and vocalist.

The members of this group include:Willie Martinez on Drums /Vocals, Ed Jackson on Saxophone, Silvano Monasterios on Piano, and Melissa Slocum on Bass.

The Jackson Room which is located in the heart of historical Queens. This particular area of Queens in the town of St Albans, was home to an uncanny number of musicians including Count Basie, Fats Waller, Illinois Jacquet, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, James Brown, Ella Fitzgerald, Lenny White to name a few. In fact, John Coltrane lived on Mexico street which is just a few blocks away from the venue.
