About this Event
She holds the unique honor of being the youngest woman to ever serve on the Austin City Council.
During her tenure, Ellen’s principled stances on high-profile issues changed the course of history on topics ranging from property taxes to ridesharing, both in Texas and beyond.
Named a “Champion Woman” by the Independent Women’s Forum, Ellen Troxclair has been recognized nationally for her bold leadership. She is continuing her public policy efforts as a Senior Fellow with the Texas Public Policy Foundation and was a key part of enacting meaningful property tax reform at the state level in 2019.
Ellen is a Fox News contributor and a frequent writer for Real Clear Politics, the Washington Examiner, and the Daily Caller. She can also be heard on Austin’s highest rated talk radio station (KLBJ).
In her “real” life, Ellen founded and runs a thriving real estate business, Troxclair Residential Group, and has been recognized as one of the best Realtors in the business by both the Austin Business Journal’s Profiles in Power Awards and Platinum Top 50’s Realtor Awards.
Ellen and her husband, Caleb, are the proud parents of three children, Juliette, Margaret, and Brooks, and are devoted to showing them the importance of giving back through non-profit volunteer work and community involvement. She is passionate about inspiring a new generation of women to pursue leadership roles in policy and government.
