About this Event

The Bellingham Bay & British Columbia Railroad was incorporated in 1883 by Pierre B. Cornwall and Associates. We explain the expansion and operation of the BB&BC when most traffic, both passenger and freight, was moved by rail, thru to the modern Milwaukee Road, with first-hand accounts by Rusty Clark who worked on both railroads for more than 50 years.

Karl T. Kleeman - Born in Dubuque, Iowa in 1942. Grandfather worked for the Milwaukee Railroad. Former member of the East Carolina Chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society. Member of the National Model Railroad Association. Retired to Bellingham, WA in 2002. Member of the Bellingham Society of Model Railroad Engineers. Founding member of the Bellingham Railway Museum. Member of the Whatcom County Historical Society.

William L. Rink - Born in Encino, California in 1962. Lived in Ventura County, California before moving his family and business to Bellingham in 1998. Founding member of the Bellingham Railway Museum, served on the Board of Directors as Vice President from 2003 to 2011.
