About this Event
The Award-Winning William Baker Festival Singers has been Chorus-in-Residence at the circa-1880 St. Mary's Episcopal Church in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Twice yearly the Festival Singers lead a traditional service of Evensong, beginning with a 20-minute choral prelude and including anthems throughout the liturgy. This Evensong will feature works of Charles Forsberg, F. Melius Christiansen, Tomas Luis da Victoris, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Johannes Brahms. The Festival Singers are second place national winners of the 2021 American Prize in Choral Performance.
This will be a service of Christian worship where all people are invited.
