Willard Alternative High School will host an art show on Friday, May 10, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Willard Alternative High School, located at 901 S. Sixth Ave. West, in Missoula. “Breakout the Archives” art show will feature a collection of artwork created by Willard students from 2002 to the present. The art has been donated by students over the years, or simply left behind.
Willard graduates Ruthie Dada, Lee Rizzo and others will provide live music. A booth will be set up to view an assortment of videos made by Willard filmmakers. Select artwork and jewelry will be for sale. Visitors can also enjoy student-made beverages and snacks.
Join us for a celebration of Willard creativity and 20-plus years of alternative thinking. The public is welcome. Please pass this invitation along to any former Willard students you know!
A second opportunity to see the collection can be arranged for Saturday, May 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., when staff will be photographing and packing up the artwork. The doors will be locked, so visitors will need to contact art teacher Gwen Hoppe at [email protected] or call the school at (406) 728-2400 ext. 2858 prior to visiting.
