Will Stuivenga Benefit Organ ConcertSunday, November 10 at 3 pm
In gratitude for the opportunity to practice on the wonderful mechanical action organ in Good Shepherd’s sanctuary, organist Will Stuivenga will present an organ concert on Sunday, November 10 at 3 pm at The Lutheran Church of The Good Shepherd. This concert will have a theme of Thanksgiving music. The music of Bach and Pachelbel, plus contemporary Lutheran composers David Cherwien and Michael Burkhardt and more, will be performed. The event is being co-sponsored by the Olympia Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. The concert is free and open to the public, but as a benefit event for the church, a free-will offering will be received to support the ministries of Good Shepherd. A church musician for 50+ years, Will Stuivenga serves as organist and choir director for Tumwater United Methodist Church, and co-organist for the Chehalis Seventh-day Adventist Church.
