Will Nixon's poetry books include If Not in Heaven Then in Saugerties; Acrostic Woodstock; My Late Mother as a Ruffed Grouse; and Love in the City of Grudges. He wrote The Pocket Guide to Woodstock and co-authored Walking Woodstock: Journeys into the Wild Heart of America's Most Famous Small Town.

Celebrate the release of If Not in Heaven Then in Saugerties a town portrait in poems inspired by the stores bars galleries restaurants parks and people that make Saugerties special. More than a dozen shop owners and others will read "their" poems. Says Katie Cokinos: “A collection of love letters about Saugerties straight from Will Nixon’s wildly poetic heart.“

This event is in collaboration with Jane St. Art Center and The Sketchbook Gallery as part of Welcome Home a group exhibition thematically about the nuances of home.
