A fascinating historical lecture about the Pump House as a typical Cutshaw project: a work of essential urban infrastructure.
About this Event

Engineer Wilfred Emory Cutshaw(1838-1907) changed the face of Richmond. He led city planning efforts from Reconstruction to a new progressive era. We still enjoy his projects, which include the Pump House and its reservoir, Byrd Park, Old City Hall, and what is now the Black History Museum. Architects Mimi Sadler and Camden Whitehead will focus on the Pump House as a typical Cutshaw project: a work of essential urban infrastructure that incorporates a compelling public amenity. Refreshments will be served. This event is co-sponsored by Historic Richmond.
