We are thrilled to be supported this term by Chorley Council with an Early Years Development Grant for our baby group. Our aim has been to provide outdoor inclusive sessions that are accessible to all and the grant will make this possible. As such, there are various price points for tickets this term, and families should select whichever is appropriate for them. This is a 6 session block of our outdoor baby group, starting Tuesday 6th January and running up to 10th February. Please note the change of day from previous baby groups.
The group is run by Karrie Kinloch, a Forest School leader who specialises in perinatal peer support, this is aimed at Mums or Dads of babies up to 1 year old.
A chance for parents and babies from new-born to pre-walking to connect with nature and each other.
Sessions may include a short woodland wander, some relaxation time, natural craft and sensory activities, nature songs and stories, and time to enjoy the beautiful space at Wildwood days. With the weather likely to be much colder, Karrie will ensure you and baby are more active to keep warm! Please bring along your carrier/sling and dress for the weather.
You and baby can enjoy the sensory joy of being outside, meet other families and start to explore in nature together.
Refreshments will be provided for grown ups.
We have a large parachute tarp and a shelter with a log burner, so there is plenty of dry space if needed. There is a car park and a composting toilet on site.
