Join us at Hazlehead Park to hunt for, and play games about, a wide range of bugs & minibeasts in the woodland!
About this Event

Join the Wildlife Watch Leaders on Saturday 7th March to hunt for bugs at Hazlehead Park!

Meet at the shelter next to Pets Corner - we'll all be wearing our new 'Wildlife Watch' beanie hats! From there, we will walk into a woodland area where we have set up 'pitfall traps' made from yoghurt pots, that hopefully have trapped some minibeasts. We will also demonstrate how to set these up yourself at home.

After investigating the bugs in our magnifying pots, we will play some games all about different bugs, insects and creepy crawlies!

Please only purchase tickets for the children attending - adults are welcome to stay. Children under 8 must be accompanied by a parent / guardian for the duration of the session. Please ensure all attendees are wearing suitable clothing for the weather!

Wildlife Watch is a volunteer-led service for children aged 8 to 12 years old, aiming to engage young people in the nature of their local area. All sessions are free to attend, and donations are appreciated!
