Join us to explore the hidden wildlife of Salisbury, within walking and wheeling distance from the city centre. Wildlife is unpredictable, but we hope to spot birds, trees, fungi and more. Hot drinks and homemade cake provided! Rough schedule:Arrive from 9.45am
10am - set off on our guided mini-adventure along the River Avon
11am - stop for hot drinks and homemade cake
11.30am - continue the adventure
12.30pm - finish
Who is it for?
This event is suitable for anyone interested in wildlife and wellbeing who wants to spend time in nature with likeminded people, learning new things. We value diversity, and hope to create a community that reflects the breadth of people in our society. Please share any medical, mobility, dietary or other needs on booking, so we can plan activities (and snacks!) that are suitable for all.
Where?
We will meet at the bicycle park outside Fiver Rivers Leisure Centre, Hulse Rd, Salisbury SP1 3NR. Please arrive by active travel and/or public transport if possible. Paid car parking is available. From here,
Facilities
Basic benches will be available for sitting on at the start and end of the session.
What to wear
Dress for the weather. We will be outside for the duration. Please check the weather forecast and bring waterproofs, warm layers and insect repellent as appropriate – if you’re not sure then bring it all! Bring binoculars if you have them.
