Join Park Ranger and Wildland Firefighter at the picnic pavilion to learn the effects wildland fire has on our local environment as well as the known origins of prescribed fire. This informative and interesting talk will take you on a journey from before America’s founding to today where the American south is looked to for their excellent Wildland fire programs. See the equipment used to safely conduct wildland fire operations as well as gain information to make sure your residence is fire conscious.
