About this Event
Join us on an evening walk from Lyons Farm, Worthing, mainly along footpaths to a wildflower site on Dankton Lane, Sompting. A South Downs National Park Ranger will talk to us about the amazing variety of British moths and set an overnight moth-trap. We might also ‘pond-dip’ if it’s still there.
Those who want can return just after dawn the next morning on 11th July to see what moths have been collected and we’ll identify them.
Wear suitable clothes and footwear, bring own water and snacks if required, meet at the end of Lyons Way alongside Sainsburys (which will be on your left).
We will set off promptly at 6.30pm and it takes about 45mins-1 hour. Adur people can join us by footpath from Herbert Road (we will arrive at the barnyard next to the pumping station by 7.30pm).
This is a Breathing Spaces (a Transition Town Worthing Project) event: Breathing Spaces has been community gardening and nurturing nature for nearly 10 years, and we are passionate about finding wellbeing through working with plants. We grow food and flowers because everyone has a right to food on the table and to beauty and joy.
