The Wildflowers workshop suits beginners to drawing and painting and is one of Corina’s most popular workshops. No previous experience necessary and it’s a fun way to spend the day with a friend creating your very own artwork to take home with you. Students will learn how to handle acrylics with a few different and fun techniques including subtraction, splatter and modelling paste. All art supplies are included in the cost of this workshop, just turn up and paint!
Everyone who attends on the day goes into the draw and one lucky winner will take home one of Corina’s designer wildflower aprons made in London.
Where: Short Street Studio
When: Saturday 10th May 2025
Cost: Members $220.00 Non-Members $230.00
A little bit about Corina….
I’ve been painting for as long as I can recall and love pretty much ALL mediums. I have exhibited throughout the country with my artworks hanging in both public and private collections. My creative curiosity means that my own work is diverse. I’ve been teaching for the last 20 years, and I am the owner of Corina Hazlett Artist Studio in Sefton, North Canterbury where I hold daily art classes for children and adults. Last year I was a judge at the Tasman National Art Awards.
I have a diploma in child and adolescent psychology and have worked in the past as an art therapist/tutor for the Department of Corrections. I recently spoke at the Refill your Cup event in the Hurunui and in 2019 wrote a book documenting children’s reaction to the covid pandemic in Aotearoa through illustration.
