Wilder Horses
Wilder Horses is a Rolling Stones Tribute band that brings you the sights, sounds and attitude of the Original Bad Boys of Rock n’ Roll. We have put our time in the studio rehearsing, recording, preparing costumes and shooting videos… We have fine-tuned our act to bring you the very best Rolling Stones Tribute experience you will ever witness...
Time Is on Your Side, and guess what?
You will finally get that Satisfaction...
Bobby Alderman - Vocals
Robert K (Bobby) Alderman started playing in bands at the age of 14, first drumming with a country band making weekend pocket money and singing a handful of songs. He eventually moved to Virginia Beach, where he joined a rock band that toured the east coast throughout the mid-late ’80s. The ’90s saw Bobby moving into the production world as a sound and lighting technician, which led him to tour with some of the world’s greatest performers.
Bobby has always been a Rolling Stones fan and he has continually been told “You look just like Mick Jagger!”, which eventually fueled his desire to recreate the iconic moves, styles and sounds of one of the greatest front men to grace the rock and roll stage. Fast forward to the present: Bobby has found the right band mates... The Wilder Horses band is paying an authentic and accurate tribute to Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones.
Michael Mosgrove - Guitar, Vocals
Mike Mosgrove’s infatuation with music started at a young age, getting his first guitar at age 9 after falling into an inescapable love of Rock n’ Roll. Subsequently lured into the rhythms of Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Buddy Holly and the Rolling Stones, the guitar became a passion for Mike, and by age 14, a fanatic obsession with the Rolling Stones ensued. There wasn’t a member of the Rolling Stones he didn’t study, eventually emulating all four of the guitarists contributing to the volumes of Stones music.
Mike went on to play professionally with several bands in the NYC area as a teen and at 19, he landed a spot playing with Chuck Berry, his “idol’s idol”. Mick went on to write, record and perform steadily as a guitarist, often utilizing the myriad of tunings employed by Keith Richards on numerous Stones numbers. When asked to join Wilder Horses, his reply was “I’ve been waiting most of my life for this phone call and I’m having a blast playing Keef!”
Paul Johnson - Guitar, Vocals
Paul has been playing professionally since 1982. He was a founding member of Waxing Poetics - a band who released three critically acclaimed LPs, toured the US, and featured heavily on MTV. In 1992, Paul moved to NYC and backed many artists as well as playing on numerous recordings, including The Master Plan that released two albums featuring his songwriting, guitar playing and singing. The Master Plan toured North America and Europe playing their brand of garage rock.
Paul now fronts his own band Electric Johnson along with David and Peter. When asked to join Wilder Horses, he said "I really only know how to play my own songs, Chuck Berry, and The Rolling Stones! It's how I learned to play guitar." At the audition he could not believe the chemistry of the band. "I had been talking about these guitar parts with Mike for years, and now I get to play them with him."
David Hunter - Drums
David Hunter first began playing the drums in 1973 and has been enamored with the instrument ever since. His earliest and foremost drumming influence was Charlie Watts; indeed, David’s first professional-level drum set purchase was Gretsch, “because that’s what Charlie played.”
David has been playing drums professionally for 43 years and counting. He’s shared stages with countless national acts over the years, as well as recording 2 LPs with national recording artists Channel One. He feels just as passionately about music now as he did when he was just starting out. “I find it both gratifying and humbling that I’ve now come full circle in my drumming career: from starting out as a young player imitating Charlie Watts to portraying him onstage today with The Wilder Horses band.”
Pat Myers - Bass Guitar, Vocals
Born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA, Pat Myers was seduced by the power of Rock n’ Roll at an early age, playing in garage bands at the age of 13 and professionally by the age of 16. From the beginning Pat always knew he wanted to play the bass, having always been fascinated with the looks and sounds of the instrument; he is a true bassist at heart. The Rolling Stones and Bill Wyman were a huge influence on Pat’s early development as a bassist and also in fanning the flames of his passion for rock n’ roll.
Over the decades Pat has played with successful regional bands such as Locals Only, The Boneshakers, Nitro Lounge, Deja and many more. He has been a songwriter and studio session musician on multiple original music studio releases. In addition to that, Pat has had the privilege of playing in many high profile live performances, opening for bands such as Toto, Foghat, The Ramones, The Romantics, and The Producers.
After 45 years of playing the bass, Pat has welcomed the opportunity to join Wilder Horses and to be a part of this chemistry and this passion for honoring The Rolling Stones!
Bill Beach – Keyboards
Bill Beach was born on the Southside of Chicago, and was exposed to blues music at the age of five, first from his father, and then from seeing top blues musicians at Chicago’s famous Maxwell Street. He formed his first band in 1966, and since then, Bill has performed alongside such Chicago greats as Lee Jackson, Steve Freund, Harvey Mandel, and as a member of Studebaker John and the Hawks. Bill is a founder of the Chicago indie band Man Fighting Bear, where alongside percussionist Chris Beach (son) and bassist Erik Fagrelius, they have played throughout Chicago and at Milwaukee’s Summerfest. Thanks to Wilder Horses member Chris Ambrosino, Bill was invited to join the band in 2023. Bill said that musically, it was like “Coming home. The rawness of the Rolling Stones music, along with the passion of each Wilder Horses member was a natural fit, and I couldn’t be happier!"
Chris Ambrosino - Percussion/Guitar/Backing Vocals
Chris Ambrosino was born and raised in the Catskill Mts. of NY and grew up playing local events and venues as a drummer/singer. Eventually, Chris began playing in numerous original projects with frequent shows in the West Village of NYC. In 1994 Chris moved to Virginia Beach, VA where he fronted local band, Get Big as a singer/rhythm guitarist. Relocating to Hampton, VA in 2004, Chris now plays as a multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter for Virginia indie band, Blue Ribbon. The first Rolling Stones album that he purchased was Tattoo You at age 11. Chris has been performing as a percussionist and guitarist, also adding backing vocals to Wilder Horses since 2023.
Joel Joyner - Trumpet/Percussion/Backing Vocals
An accomplished teacher, instrumentalist, vocalist, performer, and composer, Joel Joyner has an uncanny knack for all styles and genres of music. A native to Newport News, Virginia, Joel holds a B.A. and Master's in Music Education & Performance, plus another Master's in Adult Education & Distance Learning. Joel has performed as a vocalist, instrumentalist, and conductor, plus taught all over the globe. Hosting music clinics throughout North America, Europe, and the Middle East, Joel served as the Sergeant Major for Army Bands in the United States Military, giving over 30 years of service to our country.
Steve Stelmaszek - Saxophonist
Steve is a Baltimore, Maryland native, and currently a working musician based in Norfolk, VA. He is an East Carolina University School of Music graduate who has performed at Birdland NYC, Carnegie Hall, and the Montreaux Switzerland Jazz Festival. He was worked as a Carnival Cruise Lines orchestra member and has also been a soloist on several Armed Forces big band recordings.
Gina Dalmas - Vocals, Percussion, Guitar
A Raleigh, NC native, Gina Dalmas began playing music at a very young age, starting with piano and vocals. She bought her first electric guitar at 12 and was awarded a scholarship to study French Horn in college. Gina has worked in the music industry for over 25 years, both on-stage as a performer and off-stage as a live audio engineer, sharing the stage with innumerable national and international artists. As an avid Rolling Stones fan, Gina is excited to join the Wilder Horses family!
