We are excited to announce the second edition of Wildekrans Wine Estate’s People, Pets & Pinotage Festival, taking place on National Pinotage Day, Saturday, October 18, 2025This event, spearheaded by our winemaker De Wet Viljoen, is designed to celebrate community and our love for animals, offer a delightful countryside experience, and highlight Wildekrans's Pinotage wines. As the Vice Chairman of the Pinotage Association, De Wet is dedicated to showcasing the exceptional quality and uniqueness of Pinotage, and this festival will play a pivotal role in raising awareness about this remarkable varietal.
The festival promises a fun-filled day for all attendees, featuring a variety of activities. Guests can participate in our unique 4.5 km wine-wobble starting at 09h00, crossing some of the gorgeous areas of our estate whilst tasting our pinotage and meeting some of our resident animals, indulge in wine tastings and purchase their favourite wines, while enjoying delicious food offerings available to purchase throughout the day (egg and bacon rolls and coffee available before the start of the wine wobble and lunch and beverages available for sale afterwards).
Being avid dog-lovers ourselves, we are excited to make this a pet-friendly event, welcoming well-behaved pets on a leash. To ensure their comfort, we will provide bowls with fresh water for our furry friends. Visitors are encouraged to bring their walking shoes, binoculars and bird books, and photography gear to explore the scenic beauty of our estate, making it a great outing for nature lovers and families alike.
We look forward to a fantastic day celebrating Pinotage, community and the charm of Wildekrans Wine Estate. Tickets to access the estate and the festival on the day is R80 per adult, and kids under 12 as are free. The Wildekrans team is looking forward to seeing you there.
