ABOUT THE AUTHORS
BARBARA BROOKS, a retired physical therapist, is the author of three chapbooks: The Catbird Sang, A Shell to Return to The Sea, and Watercolors. She is a member of The PoetFools writing group. Her work has been published in Remington Review and Field Guide Literary Magazine among others. She lives in Hillsborough, North Carolina with her dog.
JOSEPH MILLS, A faculty member at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, has published eight volumes of poetry, most recently Bodies in Motion: Poems about Dance. His collection This Miraculous Turning was awarded the North Carolina Roanoke-Chowan Award for Poetry for its exploration of race and family. He also has published a collection of fiction, Bleachers, which consists of fifty-four linked pieces that take place during a youth soccer game.
CLAUDINE R. MOREAU was born near Michigan’s Saginaw Bay, but was raised in the bituminous coal mining country of southwestern Pennsylvania. She is the author of Demise of Pangaea and the chapbook Dark Machines. Now residing in North Carolina, Moreau teaches physics and astronomy at Elon University and serves as a faculty director of a first-year student neighborhood where she has made stargazing an annual tradition. She lives with her daughter, the force of gravity, and two celestially named cats.
