Wild Wonders Painting Class: Double Feature Barred Owl Session 2
Connect with art and science at MDWFP’s Mississippi Museum of Natural Science in Jackson with this series of painting classes for teens and adults led by local artist and Pacesetter Gallery owner Keri Davis.
This Saturday is our first Double Feature! We are offering two separate classes Saturday September 6 back-to-back with an hour in between for a lunch break (a double feature!) purchase a ticket for both classes or take just one class morning or afternoon.
This ticket is for the afternoon Barred Owl 8”x8” painting class. This hour long class from 12:00-1:00 PM and includes creating the museum’s barred in owl Griffin! Learn to paint with acrylic paint and learning how to add textured mediums. Meet Griffin and learn more about owls during this animal encounter and painting class.
Tickets are also available the same day from 10:00-11:00 AM (while supplies last) for the MS Map Turtles painting class where you will paint an 8”x8” canvas and meet the turtles. This class will include textural medium in the feathers and layering techniques.
Artist/teacher Keri Davis has 30 years experience in teaching and creating art and is looking forward to painting with you.
Cost for this class: $22 per person and is limited to 26 participants.
What to Expect:
This class is appropriate for all skill levels age 12 through adult and includes Museum admission plus all materials and instruction.
